Company history

Van Egmond Architecten, a family business with roots in Noordwijk, was founded in 1974 by Hans van Egmond and later joined by his brother Ben. The company is now under the creative and business leadership of the second generation of architects, Diederik and Britta van Egmond.

With a dedicated team of approximately 40 architects, designers and engineers, we carry out projects at both national and international level. We offer integrated architectural services for various market segments, ranging from commercial to residential projects.

Villa In Rural Setting: A Transformation While Retaining Original Essence

Originally designed in the 1990s by the founders of Van Egmond Architects, Hans and Ben van Egmond, this villa in the Gooi has undergone a major metamorphosis. Inspired by the wishes of the new clients, the second generation of Van Egmond Architects completely dismantled and rebuilt the house, taking into account the core principles of the initial design.

Seamless Integration With The Natural Environment

One of the fundamental principles was the harmonious interaction between the house and the surrounding garden. This has been optimized through carefully designed sight lines, effective light and an integrated garden experience in all living areas.

Sustainability And Energy Efficiency

The transformation offered the opportunity to improve the sustainability performance and energy consumption of the home, without undermining its authentic character.
